Our wee family update!

and the update is, there's still only 3 of us!!!

I love this photo - I look HUGE!!!

So what have I been doing this last week?

  • Taking the 21st century by storm with my new iphone! I now have an instagram account if you're interested :) and have been using the free picture and text messaging app 'what's app' to keep in contact with my sisters - its brilliant and I feel more in touch with them than ever :) Technology really does have its place and I am really glad we made the upgrade to iphones, it may seem extravagant but they ended up not being much more than we were paying on pay as you go and I think we'll especially appreciate them when the wee man arrives :)
  • Visiting my friends and their new babies, getting some practice in lol
  • Playing around with my Etsy shop and making pretty treasury collections, as well as posting books to the UK and USA this week!!! :) *If you'd like to win a positivity book don't forget to 'like' my facebook page before the Valentines Day draw*
  • Going to have reflexology at my local midwife led unit, for free!!! They offer it to full term women to help promote relaxation and perhaps stimulate labour. I just LOVE it, I've had 2 sessions and never felt so relaxed, I actually fell asleep last time lol
  • I've been pinteresting too, making up a special board of inspirational family and baby photos from around the world, I'm using them as a screensaver atm to remind me of how natural birth is and how so many people raise beautiful, happy families with so much less than what we have. It gives me extra confidence and makes be feel so blessed to be joining the world of parenting :)

I'm sure next week will be very different! AAAHHHHH just so exciting!!!!!!! :) :) :)

    1. Funny you should say that, I am trying to laugh myself into labour! We didn't watch any stand up comedy for the last 6 months and now we're catching up watching all our favourites and laughing our heads off! No luck yet but it does make the practice contractions much stronger!!! x

Love the pinterest board, such a lovely idea and really inspirational.

All the best for labour and the birth. Just remember its a natural process and try and enjoy it as much as you can, you'll have the best gift ever at the end of it :)

  4. I was nervous before I gave birth to my first, especially as she was late. I felt like a complete failure as a mother - couldn't even get the birth right LOL But, once I firmly locked into my head that millions of babies are delivered daily throughout the world, I calmed myself down. Enjoy sleeping whilst you can ;)

    1. Thanks bee girl, we really are loving this time, there is such an exciting yet content and happy vibe right now, sort of the calm before the storm lol We're ready for what ever life changes are coming though, and we know we have NO idea and you can't imagine how different it will be but we know we will embrace and love it! x

  10. Great pictures -- and good for you for not giving up your cat when you found you were expecting. So many people do that because they fear toxoplasmosis -- which is an unfounded fear if you are wise about keeping your kitty's box clean. That first picture is precious.

    1. Oh my goodness do people really get rid of their cat?? thats terrible! Cara will always be our first baby! We have arranged for Al's dad to look after her for a couple of days when baby is born though just because we dont know how she'll react to me in labour and she's quite attention seeking so might be nice not to have her meowing first thing and every time she wants a cuddle for the 1st few days while we are bonding with baby!! She goes to him when we're on holiday tho and loves his cat so she'll be fine :) x

  12. Your bump looks amazing. Glad you are on whatsapp it's very easy and free to use. I use it everyday to chat to my sister, brothers and friends. My mum recently started using it and it always makes me laugh cause you send her a message in the morning and it takes her the whole day to reply she is still learning.

    Hope everything goes well.
